Dr. Sherri Simpson Broadwater (Dr. Sherri Psych) is a dedicated adult, child, and adolescent psychiatrist who enjoys helping people find their voice and power while cultivating healing, success, joy, and safety. She and her husband, Mr. Robert Lee Broadwater Jr. are the co-founders of Healing For All, a psychiatric and coaching center in Atlanta. Dr. Sherri’s psychiatric and wellness techniques promote joy, creative fulfillment, healing, safe living, and financial empowerment. Her innovative psychiatric practice includes walking wellness appointments, concierge, virtual access, and parent-child wellness workshops. Dr. Sherri is also a life coach, which is another way she helps others find clarity and fulfillment. Dr. Broadwater's ministry transforms family frustration and crisis into fulfillment and healthy communication. In private practice, she primarily partners with female teens and young adults, athletes, trainees, women professionals, and their families.
Dr. Broadwater understands what professional women need and want because of her extensive training, ongoing commitment to learning and shared experiences with many of her high-performing patients. Blessed to have achieved her childhood dream of becoming a physician, she too has been impacted by poor work-life balance, delayed parenting, career isolation, and the Black Tax, common experiences of high, actualizing professionals.
Dr. Sherri earned a Bachelor of Science in Biology from the prestigious Howard University and a Doctorate of Medicine from Meharry Medical College. After completing her adolescent/child psychiatry fellowship, general psychiatry residency and internship at Baylor College of Medicine, she worked in a variety of inpatient, residential and outpatient settings. Dr. Sherri established her double board certification in adult, teen and child psychiatry in 2011.
Dr. Broadwater uses her extensive clinical experiences working in CA, GA, and TX to help patients and clients thrive professionally and personally. Her expertise in executive leadership, policy development, and business knowledge is driven by her training, personal experiences, and collaboration with her husband and business partner, Robert Lee Broadwater Jr. MPA, a multi-million dollar managerial expert and consultant.
Growing up, Dr. Sherri didn’t find life easy; her parents divorced when she was young and she had to learn how to navigate life differently, often resulting in overwhelm and loneliness. Parental and personal expectations and constant comparisons to her sister damaged to her self-worth and confidence. Thus, Dr. Broadwater is uniquely poised to support teens, young adults and their families to develop concrete mental health and healthy relationship tools.
@DrSherriPsych(IG/FB) is also passionate about educating the masses and educates the community on relevant topics and information via social media platforms. She has also given over 100 presentations, trainings, and workshops on health, spirituality, wellness, trauma recovery, the intersection of identity, and the impact of organizational leadership on the hiring and retention of underrepresented people.
